What I do
After the death of a loved one, families in Switzerland face many tasks: authorities, deadlines, terminations, the estate, the tax return, clearing the apartment. All while dealing with grief.
I support families through this process. As a licensed psychotherapist (M.Sc., recognised by Swiss compulsory health insurance) I combine psychological care with practical and administrative help.
Who this is for
English-speaking families and individuals in Switzerland who have lost someone. Whether you have lived here for years or arrived recently, the Swiss system can feel overwhelming when you are grieving.
I speak German and English and can guide you through the Swiss processes. Correspondence with authorities is conducted in the required official language (usually German), while our conversations happen in English.
How I can help
Personal guidance. I come to you and work on site: sorting through the flat, taking stock of what is there, coordinating clearance and sale, and guiding the family through the decisions. From a single assessment visit (CHF 800 to 1'000) to full handling with power of attorney (CHF 6'400 to 9'000).
Psychotherapy. Grief counselling for stress reactions after a loss. Covered by Swiss compulsory health insurance (OKP).
Digital app. A step-by-step checklist, letter templates and a knowledge base covering every stage of settling an estate in Switzerland. Available in English and German. The letter templates stay in German, since Swiss authorities require correspondence in the official language. CHF 79, one-off.
Practical arrangements
Language. Our consultations, correspondence with you, and all explanations are in English. Official documents and correspondence with Swiss authorities remain in German (or the relevant official language).
Location. Based in Zurich. In-person meetings mainly in the Zurich area, remote support (phone, video) available Switzerland-wide.
Third-party services. Clearance firms, auction houses and fiduciaries you engage and pay directly. I obtain the quotes, review them and oversee the work. I receive no commission.
